Tenali (తెనాలి), also known as Andhra Paris, is a city and a mandal in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, South India. It has a population of 164,937 (2011 census). It is located 16 miles east of Guntur City. Three canals of the Krishna River flow through Tenali making it a part of the rice bowl of Andhra Pradesh. One of the canals is navigable up to Nizampatnam port. Tenali is a major railway junction connecting Guntur, Vijayawada, Repalle, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. Tenali is on Kolkata-Chennai main line and is connected to major cities by train. This being a major junction, most of the trains including the super fast expresses have a stop in the station. Tenali station is in the south central railways and is having five platforms. All platforms can accommodate trains with 30 coaches. Autorickshaw: You can easily get around the city by an autorikschaw, but be to careful bargain the fare with the driver, or else you might end up paying a lot more.
