Takatsuki
Discover Takatsuki
Takatsuki (高槻) is a city in northeastern Osaka prefecture, near Kyoto. The neighboring rural districts of Shimamoto (島本) and Oyamazaki (大山崎), just across the border in Kyoto, are also covered here. Located exactly halfway between Osaka and Kyoto, Takatsuki is a popular commuter town for people working in both cities, but most visitors to Japan only see it in passing from a train window. However, if you can't decide whether to stay in Osaka or Kyoto and want to get a bit off the beaten tourist trail, you could definitely do worse than stay here.
