Shima (志摩市) is a city in Mie. Shima City was born out of the merger of four districts in 2005. Shima is most famous for pearl cultivation and is a popular playground for fans of watersports and tourists, generally. Kintetsu Railway's Toba Line links Shima to Ise via Toba. Local trains and Limited Express trains are available (stopping at every station). Buses from Ugata Station (鵜方駅) provide access to other areas of Shima. The last station on the line is Kashikojima (賢島).
