Kvitfjell Alpinanlegg was built for the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. Since then, it has become one of the best and most modern ski resorts in Northern Europe. Kvitfjell is located just 2.5 hours north of the Oslo Airport, along the main railway and highway. At an altitude of over 800m above sea level, the view from the lifts and central station leaves a lasting impression of the beautiful landscape. Kvitfjell offers challenging slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers. There are many choices at Kvitfjell. Some of the dining opportunities allow you to organize a group meal at a cozy mountain farm, in a tipi-tent, or at a nature site selected by a guide. There are also a few after skis where you can enjoy home made sausages and goulajs soup, or for a more formal affair at GudbrandsGard Hotell's specialty restaurant. You can also have a meal at the lodge. Many other accommodations are available to suit everyone's needs.
