While dining in this college town, we were told that sometimes you could sometimes find a rare blue heron by a waterfall in this park. We were fortunate because there he was waiting for his fish. It was around 2 o’clock in the afternoon that I took this photograph. It is always special when you capture rare birds in their natural environment.
We drove through rain the entire day to get to the range that we’d hike the day after and were delighted to see the weather give us a break and allow us to get a few dramatic photos of the adirondacks
