Stuttgart airport is the closest with international connection although Frankfurt airport has a greater number of connections. Heilbronn has direct rail connections to Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Mannheim and Würzburg as well as S-Bahn to Bretten, Karlsruhe and Schwäbisch Hall.
