Shimoyoshida area of the city has a long history of textile manufacturing, specifically producing silks that use the pure water from Mt. Fuji. Fuji Yoshida is at the end of the Fujikyuko Line that branches of the JR network in Ōtsuki. There are a few direct trains from central Tokyo, but usually a change in Ōtsuki is required.

Getting There
Multiple OptionsFuji Yoshida is at the end of the Fujikyuko Line that branches of the JR network in Ōtsuki. There are a few direct trains from central Tokyo, but usually a change in Ōtsuki is required. Regular buses go from Shinjuku Bus Station to Fujisan Station. From Nagoya, buses depart for Fujisan, Fuji Q Highland and Fuji-Yoshida Stations. There are also buses from Kofu and Gotemba....
