Buchholz in der Nordheide is a small town on the northern edge of Lüneburg Heath - a major tourist region in Lower Saxony, Germany. Buchholz is the largest town in the district of Harburg in Lower Saxony and is part of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. It is about 20 km south of Hamburg, about 120 km north of Hanover and some 80 km northeast of Bremen.
