In this tour, you will have a chance to visit Gunkanjima island, the battleship island by cruising from Nagasaki city. Gunkan-Jima: A World Heritage Site that Supported Japan's Modernization In Nagasaki Prefecture, eight industrial heritage sites, including Battleship Island (Hashima Island Coal Mine), are registered as components of the World Heritage Site "Industrial Revolutionary Heritage of Meiji Japan: Iron and Steel Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, and Coal Industry. Nagasaki, which was a pioneer of Japan's modernization, is dotted with other modernization heritage sites, and there are a variety of heritage tours and guided tours available.

Experience making a handmade ring by hammering the texture using the Japanese traditional style called "Tankin." You will choose your favorite material, thickness, and texture, and then use special hammers and tools to customize your own ring. The entire process takes around 1 hour. Staff will carefully explain the steps and help you take remembrance photos. This workshop is highly recommended for a high-quality gift or souvenir. Embrace your creativity and enjoy our unique experience in Japan.

-You can choose from more than 100 kimonos. -There is a range of sizes available. We have sizes available for women up to 175 centimeters (5L) and men up to 190 centimeters (5L). -The staff will coordinate with you. -A professional dresser will dress you. Dressing itself takes about 20 minutes per person. -The staff will give you a simple hairstyle. -Sizes are available for children 3 years old and older. -Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of the Edo period in Dejima, dressed in kimono. -There is a Japanese-style room in the adjacent "Chief Factor's Residence" where you can take photos even if it's raining. ・This experience can be done only inside if the weather is not good. -Children over 15 year-old are welcome to join this experience without attendance by an adult. -You can enjoy walking outside after wearing Kimono. Please come back to Dejima Hoppen Shop by 5 PM.

Alternate sites like Nishizaka, Suwa Shrine, or Spectacles Bridge may be visited should weather or closures see the original tour sites unavailable. Entrance to all sites, gratuities and public transportation costs are included. Food, beverages, or sudden return to tour start point transportation costs, are not included. Once you explored Ojika on foot it's time to discover the beauty of its coastline. The volcanic coast has some curious cliffs and rock formations. The water is so clear that the equipment provided you will be able to see the fish and corals that lie under your kayak. If the weather is good and participants are physically fit you can even kayak to a nearby island to explore.

On this guided tour we will take our guests on an exploratory walk around Ojika's downtown. We will visit some shops in search of local produce and local specialties, go see bonito being smoked, visit an old letterpress studio as well as a fishing port. On our way, we will talk Ojika's history and see some curious sights hidden from a tourist's eye. The goal of this tour is to familiarize our guests with the neighborhood they will be staying in so they can get the most out of their stay in Ojika.
