Welcome to my introduction to my hometown: discover local culture while we walk amongst landmarks and try local snacks. Come hungry! I will take you through a list of food spots that I've personally chosen. From hots to colds, solids to beverages, sweet to salty, stores & street vendors, national and local, fried to baked, fruits to meats, and everything in between while we walk amongst the city's most famous landmarks. All tasting options are snacks. But if you know Colombia, you know... we like eating. Most people are satisfied by the end. Items you will be able to choose from: pandebono, buñuelo, arepa, empanadas, marranitas, papa rellena, papa aborrajada, aborrajado, chorizo, champús, ice-cream, coffee... and some more! Vegetarians welcome. Gluten-free people are welcome. Meat-lovers welcome as well! There are options for everybody.

Commune 20 has many interesting stories in the style of the series "gangs, war and peace"; The local guides will tell us about their experience in the neighborhood and will take us through the streets full of graffiti that keep the memories of what has happened; We will visit some viewpoints that only 1% of the city's population has observed and we will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city. In addition to that, we will pass by some iconic points of the sector such as the large court, the snake house and the viewpoint of the star. Without a doubt we will enjoy one of the most authentic neighborhoods in the city.

The tour is different every day, we visit real life activities in different parts of the city doing community tourism, authentic places that show the different forms of the strong salsa culture in Cali. The tour supports people who work in the salsa industry, making music, instruments, costumes, shoes, dance classes, shows, events, tourism, concerts - keeping the culture alive with collections of LP's, photography, books and much more. There is so much to tell and to show how salsa is lived in the salsa capital and we are eager to show it all to you, although it doesn't all fit in one tour! :)

We will start at our office in the San Antonio neighborhood, walking for about 15 minutes towards the historic center. After an introduction to the city at the Jairo Varela plaza we will begin our walk through the historic center, getting to know its old architecture, parks, theaters, churches, museums, cathedrals and monuments dedicated to important people in our history.
